Back Up and Running
Where do I even start....
This guy started scooting around on his hand and knees this week. I wouldn't quite call it crawling yet; it is more of a scootch lunge; but he'll be zooming around pretty quick here. My days of sitting him in the middle of the floor while I go do my thing are over (Sniff, sniff!) Ben will be 9 months old on Friday and has 4 teeth - 2 on the top midle and 2 on the bottom middle - and he seems to be working on some more. I have no idea how big he is now but we've broken out the 18-24 month clothes (although 12m still fit him pretty good). He is wearing outfits that Andy and Alex were walking in. For instance...
Here are cute pictures of Abby at 13 months and Ben at 8 months (pre-haircut) on the purple car.
Andy and Alex had a kindergarten screening down at the elementary school last week and the principal called to tell me they were more than ready to start school in July!! Woo-Hoo!! I guess only time will tell if starting them a year early was a good idea or not but I've just felt all along that, like the principle said, they are more than ready. Besides - they only miss the cut-off by 11 days! They are so excited to be starting kindergarten. School starts in 2 months - July 20th.
That same week we got Abby's progress report where she had 100s in almost everything. To congratulate all of them for being such smarty pants I took them to pick out their new lunch box for next school year. Then we pickrd up some Subway sandwiches and came home to eat them out of our new lunch boxes. That was so fun I think we'll have to make it a tradition!
Splashing!
There is a girl in our ward who teaches swim lessons and I can have all 3 of the older ones take from her for about the same price that preschool costs us each month. My kids have never had swim lessons before and it has always worried me that they don't really know how to swim. I think we're going to do it! Lessons start in June (after our trip to Utah which we are so excited for!!)
Happy Late Mother's Day to all you wonderful women!! I also just turned 30 yesterday. Happy Birthday To Me!!! Just think - I wasn't even married 10 years ago. I wonder whats going to happen in the next 10 years?
