CA Trip Day 2 ~ Disneyland!!!!

Be prepared for picture OVERLOAD! But how can you not take 100 's of pictures when you go to Disneyland. Ü
First of all I have to mention that at dinner the night before Andy's flip flops broke. This is funny because the last time we went on vacation - to Utah in summer of 2009 - Andy's flip flops broke the second we stepped onto BYU campus and we had to spend $21 on BYU flip flops for him. This time at least we were able to go to WalMart to get him some new flip flops. They even had some for $1. However out of all the $1 ones and even the $2 or $3 choices they had none in his size. So we had to settle on these cool Mickey Mouse ones for $7. Once again the kids were jealous of Andy's flip flops.

Ready to Go ~ 7:30 am ~ Friday October 1st

Autopoia ~ our first ride of the day

Andy and Alex were brave enough to try Space Mountain. They were so excited! As we got to the top of the first hill this big scary firey skeleton guy appears - and he kept appearing throughout the ride. Didn't remember him - apparently it turns into this ghost ride for Halloween. Lovely! Alex quick buried his head into my shoulder and never looked up again. But as soon as the ride was over both boys wanted to do it again. They also went on the Matterhorm and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Alex was brave eough to put his arms up on that one. They LOVE roller coasters!

Celebrate Today Parade
The kids bought cotton candy to eat while watching the parade. While waiting for it to start Tyler went to use the restroom. Grandma Pam said, "Watch for Daddy" (meaning so he wouldn't miss us when he came back). Andy excitedly said, "Is Daddy in the parade?!?"

They pulled some kids up to dance during part of the parade. Alex was my only kid brave enough to go.

Before the parade started Alex said,"I'm going to see Pooh Bear in the parade and he's going to wave at me." Well guess what...
Grandma watching the parade. We wore her out!!
I tried to get everyone to go over by this cute fall wagon for a picture but no one would...so I took a picture of it anyway. Ü

SplashMountain ~ My Favorite!!

a picture of our picture ~ Tyler likes to be goofy on these kind of things ~ Abby did go on this ride with us ~ she's hiding behind me! Ü

I wasn't sure if we were going to see Mickey. It's not like it used to be when I was younger and Mickey would just walk around the park. Now you have to go to his house and walk through everything and wait in a long line to be with Mickey for 20 seconds. I'd rather do rides. But at about 5 minutes to 7pm (closing time) we decided to give it a shot...

...and guess who was still there (without a line to wait in or anything).

The Perfect Ending to a Perfect Day!

Goodbye!

Walking back to the hotel Alex said, "Everything at Disneyland is...(thinking)...SOMETHING!"
