Mother's Day 2011

I had a very lazy and relaxing Mother's Day with all sorts of yummy treats for a breakfast in bed. I played with the kids (which I need do to more often) and didn't do any work. That means my mom did dinner for me though - one year, mom, I'll cook for you. Ü

Science Fair 2011

Andy and Alex's 1st grade class did a project together. They tested which dish soap made the most bubbles. Here they are with their classmate Quinton.
Abby stayed home sick today from school with a yucky sore throat so she wasn't able to go to the science fair. Here are the boys standing by her project board. Her project tested which water freezes fastest - cold, room temp., or boiling.

Let's All Go...Fly a Kite!

Last Saturday we were headed down to the park. The kids saw someone flying a kite and asked if they could fly ours. I was in a yes mood so we took the kite with us. We've had this kite for years but never even put it together. I think I only flew a kite once when I was a kid. The kids have tried to fly little dollar ones but never with any success. I was amazed that not only did I get the thing together but they were able to get it in the air a few times.
