Abby Remembering Dermatomyositis

         ‘’I can’t  Mom, it’s too hard,’’
I‘ve  watched  you, you can do it,’’
Agene my mom and I were fighting about my socks. Ever sins I was  6 I have had a hard time putting my socks on and going up the stares. My mom thought that I gust did not want to do my  chores but my legs gust weren’t working! Soon my  mom knew I was not joking and took me
to the doctor.
It seamed like we went to  100 doctors but not one of knew what I had. Finally one of the someones daughter had what I had so she knew what to do, and how to treat it. Finally my mom and I where getting in the car to go to the children’s hospital. It  took forever to get there (in fact it took 1:00 to get there)but finally we did. As soon as we got there my mom and I rushed inside.
It turned out that I had a disease called dermatositis  and it affected my arm and leg mussels (Mosley my leg mussels). I had to stay at the hospital for 3 days, and  I guess it was a little fun. Trained dogs came and gave me a stuffed flower and teadybear . There was also a play house there with a lot of fun games but I gust wanted to go home! The only family I saw for 1 and a half days was my dad, he stayed at the hospital with me. On the 2 day my mom and my siblings came to see me. I was rolled into the lobby in a wheel char,  talked hugged and said goodbye and left. I wanted to go with them but I had to stay longer.
That night I found out that I would be taking a shot every Friday night and my first one would be right then! First my dad practiced on an orange, then he put numbing medicine on my leg, after that we had to what  another hour and then I had my shot. Little did we know that we had to wait an hour befor or after I ate so I threw up my spaghetti .
The next day I got to go home.  I was so happy.  When we we got home I ran inside and gave every one a hug.  I was glad to be home.
Sins I was 6 I could not do some important stuff but sins I went to the children’s hospital life has been a little better for me. Know I can put my socks on, run, go up the stars, and all the other stuff gust because of one  doctor.

THE       END   !

Joys of January

On January 5th Andy and Alex went with their cub scout troop to the Rock and Gem show.  Andy is especially into rocks right now so he was in heaven!!!  Tyler was able to go with the boys...and bring Abby and Ben along too. Ü  They were able to participate in several fun activities, including cutting open a geode, and brought home several rocks and minerals.  They earned their geology and collecting belt loops.
Andy

Alex

They even brought home some shark teeth!

That same day Abby and I went on a Mommy Daughter Date to Schnepf Farms...
Abby measured at 5' 2" when we went to her rheumotologist at the end of December

to go ice skating...only to find out it wasn't real ice...just cutting board material stuff.  Oh well! Ü

We took a hayride...

...out to feed the deer!

The Four Little Pigs Ü

Going down the long, dark slide

We had fun...& bought fudge...Yum!!!

We all went to see Uncle Paul for our dental checkups.  Ben had 3 cavities!!!  Only 2 got filled because he kind of lost it after awhile.  I'm not looking forward to taking him back for the last one!!  I needed a filling too for some decay under an old one!!  What do Ben and I eat while Tyelr and the kids are away I wonder? Ü

January had some pretty cold days there for a while.  On one of the coldest the boys decided to have an indoor snowball fight complete with forts made out of blankets.

Pooh Bear got int othe action too...see the snowball (grocery sack) in his hand Ü

You can't go wrong with Twister

What to do on a boring Tuesday afternoon...
(Please tell me other families are as weird as ours!!!)

Abby had a fieldtrip to JA Biztown on January 23rd.  Daddy was able to go and be a helper.  Biztown is where kids get to go be grownups for a day.  It wa a little town with a mayor, utility companies, restaurants, stores, etc.  Abby was in the philantropy department and even had to give a speech at the town meeting at the end of the day!!

Go Abby!!

Abby, Andy, and Alex are in a stack attack club at school.  I don't quite get stacking...seems kind of stupid to me...but they LOVE it!  It is supposed to make you smarter too...something about crossing the midline.  I haven't been able to post videos on my blog for a while but I wish I could.  Andy is VERY fast and can do the whole stack attack cycle in 11 seconds.  Apparently he is even the fastest in the school!!

They are fun to build with too!!

Also, if I could post videos, I would post some fun ones of us playing our Just Dance 3 Wii game.  We're all having fun with that one.  Our favs to dance too are Take on Me, Dynamite, Everybody Dance Now, and Partys Rocking in the House.  Good times!! Ü

Other fun moments...

Alex snuggling up with his animals

Ben & Meagan Kent dressing up

And this little guy turned 13 months!!
He's gained 1 whole pound and 8 oz in a month bringing him from the 5% for weight to the 15% so he is safe!!  He is taking more and more steps everyday.
This was the baracade I made to keep him out of the kitchen.  He just stepped up on the booster and climbed up onto the chair.  Stinker!!
Such a cutie!!!
