Winter Olympics Wanna Be's

Alex decided, after watching some of the Winter Olympics, that skiing was cool.  He made him some skis out of cereal boxes and arrows.

He made one ski for Tanner...

...and then they skied around the room.

Pictures from Kathy

It is so nice to have a friend who loves to take pictures even MORE than I do.  Nothing is missed when Kathy is around.  We love to do date night swaps, play dates, and monthly dinners, so our families are together a lot.  Here are some fun pics she has taken from the last few months.

Ben's 1/2 B-day

Sterling watched the kids for me a bit while Tyler was busy with the cultural celebration and I was at the temple for a girls night.  Ben was so excited about his half birthday that Sterling put a candle in Ben's cookie to celebrate.  So nice of him!!

(We may be finally making progress on pooping in the toilet.  In the words of Ben, "I'm 51/2 now...I can totally handle it."  We've got 5 stickers on his chart. )

Thanks Kent family...for everything!! Ü

These 3

One night we got to talking about Elvis Presley.  (Grandpa Dave is a BIG Elvis fan.  I used to get a penny for every Elvis trivia question I got right Ü)  I told the boys how Elvis was a twin but his brother died at birth.  Andy said, "I couldn't imagine living without Alex.  It just wouldn't be life!!"  The beautiful moment was ended a second later when Alex said, "I think I could live without Ben though."

Ay-yi-yi!!!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was pretty eventful this year!!

It started off the weekend before Valentine's Day with a ward Valentine Dance.  Now, this event was kind of stressful for me because the night before the dance I realized that my wonderful husband kind of forgot to delegate anything.  He had no plans for decorations ("why do we need decorations?") and really no sure plans for music...which is kind of important for a dance!!!  He did think of food, and asked people to bring finger foods to share, but hadn't gotten as far as table clothes and tables and stuff like that.  So, kind of in a panic I talk to 4 of my besties and we made a run to Dollar Tree.

They totally saved the day!!!  They even came up with a cute photo booth.
Tyler did admit the decorations added a nice touch. Ü

There weren't many of us there...but we had a good time dancing, and being together, and taking cute pictures.  A BIG thank you to my friend Michelle Fiaui for jumping in and being our DJ. Ü

We're kind of adorable Ü
