I was kind of panicky when Alex said he was interested in doing football in Jr. High. We went to 7th grade orientation and he came out saying he wanted to try out for the team. He's never expressed interest in football before and there's all the scary injury worries that comes along with football and I was just not too excited. But I knew the good things he could learn from working hard at a sport as well and we decided if he was serious about trying it we would let him. By attending spring ball and summer ball he was pretty much guaranteed a spot on the team and he ended up as 2nd string offense and 3rd string defense.
The 1st game was at home on September 3rd against Gila Bend.

Now my feelings have completely reversed. Alex is saying he's not sure he wants to be on the team next year and I'm like "WHAT?!?!? That was so much fun!!! You've gotta do it again!!!"
We'll see what happens. Ü
I can tell you what though...if he is on the team next season I'll have to for sure be a team mom again. They sure know how to say Thank You!!
