Soccer Season

Andy and Alex played soccer again this season through Paladin Sports.  Their coach was Coach Nate and their team was called the Green Dragons.
Back: Gibson, Alex, Andy, Jacob, Brent
Front: Hailey, Azure, Coach, Brooklyn, Bailey

They had a pretty good seaon.  They won some and lost some.  Andy and Alex did really well and had fun!!

Abby did not enjoy coming to the games too much.  She was either too hot, too cold, her allergies were bothering her, she was tired...but we had her come anyway. Ü

Pinewood Derby

March 26, 2013

This is the boys's 2nd Pinewood Derby race as they did one in Tiger Cubs a few years ago.  I leave Tyler is charge of helping the boys with their cars.  Sometimes I wonder if this is really less stressful.  I was a flustered mess by the time the race started as all 3 cars were finished up about 30 minutes before we needed to be there. Ü  Andy, Alex, and Tyler were in great moods though and excited for the race!!

Alex's car was is in the 4th row on the bottow (he named it the Silver Bullet)
Andy's car is right above Alex's...the Blue Truck
The Bishops car is the cute little yellow slug bug on the end

Andy having fun

Alex excited to begin

There was quite the crowd!!

Here comes the Bishops's car.  Tyler was happy that little thing even made it over the finish line. Ü

Andy getting ready to race

Alex's turn
I love how Tanner is walking across the track.  Where is that kids mother??
Bishop Allen and his car
Andy had a great time even though his car lost both races
Alex on the other hand had a pretty tough time.  His car actually turned out pretty fast and he barely lost the 1st round.  They then did another round to see who came in 2nd place which got Alex confused because he just won 2nd place!  He did a little better when we explained how they were doing the bracets and how not every car raced each other in the 1st round so they were mixing it up.  Alex lost to the boy who ended up taking 2nd place and then for the sake of time they called another boy as the 3rd place winner.  Alex was completely baffled because he had beaten that car in the 1st round and couldn't understand why he hadn't been given 3rd place.  Oh my!!  Not a fun ending to the night for this guy.  We really need to work on being a good sport with him.
Alex and Andy with their good friend Cole. Cole's car was the 1st place winner. Yay Cole!!

There were even cute car treats at the end. Ü

Until next year!

Must remember....
start the cars more then a couple of days before the race
prepare Alex for the chance that he may not win!!!

He seems to succeed at anything he does...and tends to think a little highly of himself because of it. Ü
Andy was recently chosen as student of the month for his class and got to attend a special leader lunch with the principle.
His teacher wrote, "Our student leader this month is Andy Allen. He demonstrates being a leader through the consistent high quality of his work, his focus to details and ensuring his work is always done completely. He is always polite and helpful to others and is a pleasure to have to class. "

ALEXANDER ~ protector of mankind
EUGENE ~ well born
Basically...he's superman. Ü
Alex had to make a model for his animal classification report.  His animal was the Great Horned Owl and his plan was to make an owl out of legos.  I didn't see how that was going to work...but he did it! Ü

Abby Remembering Dermatomyositis

         ‘’I can’t  Mom, it’s too hard,’’
I‘ve  watched  you, you can do it,’’
Agene my mom and I were fighting about my socks. Ever sins I was  6 I have had a hard time putting my socks on and going up the stares. My mom thought that I gust did not want to do my  chores but my legs gust weren’t working! Soon my  mom knew I was not joking and took me
to the doctor.
It seamed like we went to  100 doctors but not one of knew what I had. Finally one of the someones daughter had what I had so she knew what to do, and how to treat it. Finally my mom and I where getting in the car to go to the children’s hospital. It  took forever to get there (in fact it took 1:00 to get there)but finally we did. As soon as we got there my mom and I rushed inside.
It turned out that I had a disease called dermatositis  and it affected my arm and leg mussels (Mosley my leg mussels). I had to stay at the hospital for 3 days, and  I guess it was a little fun. Trained dogs came and gave me a stuffed flower and teadybear . There was also a play house there with a lot of fun games but I gust wanted to go home! The only family I saw for 1 and a half days was my dad, he stayed at the hospital with me. On the 2 day my mom and my siblings came to see me. I was rolled into the lobby in a wheel char,  talked hugged and said goodbye and left. I wanted to go with them but I had to stay longer.
That night I found out that I would be taking a shot every Friday night and my first one would be right then! First my dad practiced on an orange, then he put numbing medicine on my leg, after that we had to what  another hour and then I had my shot. Little did we know that we had to wait an hour befor or after I ate so I threw up my spaghetti .
The next day I got to go home.  I was so happy.  When we we got home I ran inside and gave every one a hug.  I was glad to be home.
Sins I was 6 I could not do some important stuff but sins I went to the children’s hospital life has been a little better for me. Know I can put my socks on, run, go up the stars, and all the other stuff gust because of one  doctor.

THE       END   !
