Abigail Anne
Abby has had quite an eventful week or so full of her first school field trip to the Pheonix Zoo, an end of the year ice cream party, and kindergarten graduation (which lasted all of 15 miunutes, but it was still cute Ü). I can't believe her kindergarten year is already over and in just 7 weeks she'll be in 1st grade at the brand new school they are building in our community. I'm really happy with all she's learned this year.

Daddy got to go on Abby's fieldtrip with her. They had tons of fun!!
Pulling Ears
I love this video of the boys! You can just tell how much they love each other (especially when Andy gets Alex in a choke hold). Ü

We Love American Idol!!

We started watching American Idol from our little white house in Provo and here it is 7 seasons later. Carzy! We were cheering for David Archuletta this year but David Cook was the next best choice. Now we have to wait until January for it to start all over again. We'll just have to watch So You Think You Can Dance in the mean time.
The New Kids on the Block Are Back!!!

This link was on one of my friend's blogs. I remember hearing that the New Kids were going to be performing on the Today show last Friday but I didn't watch it. I was so in love with the New Kids on the Block - Jon was my favorite! It's weird to see them so much older now (I don't think I'll be buying any T-shirts this time around Ü), but watching these vidoes sure brought back a bunch of memories. My kids were watching the medley video with me and now Andy keeps asking to hear the "Step by Step" song. I think we'll be breaking out their Greatest Hits CD tomorrow and have a little dance party. Ü

We Love Our Grandma's!
With this being Mother's Day month I thought we would pay tribute to all the grandma's in our life. We are lucky to have 5 grandma's still around. They are all so amazing and we love them all so much!!
Grandma Beth Gibson is Tyler's maternal grandma. She lives in South Jordan, UT so we don't get to see her too often. This picture was taken back in 2002 the day we moved from Provo, UT to Arvada, CO after we graduated from BYU. We've been able to see Grandma and Grandpa Gibson about 4 or 5 times since then and are hoping they will be able to come down for our new baby's blessing. We miss them!
Grandma Marge is Carrie's paternal grandma. Abby has seen her twice and the boys have seen her once. In 2006 we flew up to Everett, WA and surprised Grandma Marge on her 90th birthday. They boys still talk about flying on the plane to see the Grandma with all of the balloons. She is a special lady.
Grandma Hall is Carrie's maternal grandma. We are so lucky to live about 40 mionutes away from her so she is the grandma my kids see most. She is such a wonderful example of love and service and she does so much for her 24 grandkids and over 50 great-grandkids.
Grandma Aldine Allen is Tyler's wonderful mother. She is such a positive example in our lives. Grandma and Grandpa Allen recently moved to Cibolo, TX (the San Antonio area) and we were able to go visit them last Thanksgiving. This picture was taken when they came to visit us in Jan. '07 and we are excited to have them come visit again when Benjamin is born.
Here is Carrie's mom - Grandma Pam. I don't think we could survive without her - she does so much for our family and we are so grateful. She has 18 more days left of teaching 1st grade in Buena Park, CA and then she will retire and move out here by us. Yay!! We are looking forward to visiting her and Grandpa Dave next month and going to Knotts Berry Farm.

Happy Mother's Day
Mother Dear, I Love You So
Andy and Alex singing to me on Mother's Day. The Primary kids sang this song and "I Often Go Walking" in sacrament meeting. Abby and Andy did super. Poor Andy got up there and cried through the whole thing. Ü

The Boys
I couldn't figure out how to add these pictures of the boys to the end of my last post (can anyone help me with that?) so they get a post of their own.
Andy (top) and Alex (bottom) are 3 1/2 years old. They will turn 4 about a week after the baby is due and I know they are going to be such good helpers. They are just too cute together and for the most part play really well. They love dinosaurs, bugs (EEEWWW!!), riding their bikes, playing baseball in the backyard, Little Einsteins, Blue's Room, reading stories, and practicing writing their letters. We are planning on putting them in preschool in the fall and know they will absolutely love it. People often ask me if their personalities are the same and right now they pretty much are. They are sweet little boys who are often a little clingy to mom and who will do anything their sister tells them to do (usually that's not a good thing!). Now can anyone tell me how to get them to stay dry at night time?
Well, that pretty much cathces you up on our lives. And now that I have this blog thing figured out (maybe, I think?) check back often for more exciting updates from our family.

What We're Up To
Tyler has almost hit his 5 year mark working for the University of Phoenix. He was recently promoted to the Project Director of Assessment for the College of Undergraduate Business and Management (did I get it right hon? Ü). He really enjoys his job and all the new things he is learning. He also has a ton of fun with the guys on his team. He has been to two conferences already - one in College Station, TX and the other in New York. He got to spend a week as a tourist walking around Time Square. Yeah, he kind of enjoyed that. Ü Tyler is also teaching a management class online for UOP. He's on his 2nd class right now. So between those 2 jobs he's pretty busy. For our ward Tyler is the Assistant 11 year old scout leader. He has fun with the boys and is enjoying learning more about boy scouts.
Bears Daddy brought home for the kids. They say "New York" on their tummies.
I am still babysitting but I've cut down quite a bit since I became pregnant. I watch Sophia, an 18 month old little girl 3 days a week. I've had her since she was 2 months and feel like she's just finally started liking me in these last couple of months. Ü She is so cute and fun and she is making me excited for our new baby and all the cute things he will do. I'm going to go ahead and keep watching her after Ben is born. In our ward I am the Primary Secretary and I absolutely love it!! I never, ever want to be realeased. As a secreatary I get the benefits of being in a presidency and getting to know all the kids and their families but I don't have to be up in front of people and I'm not in charge. Definately my kind of calling. Ü I'm happy to say that in the last year or so I've started reading again - a hobby I used to enjoy pre-college but haven't really done since. I've read all the Nicholas Sparks books and now I'm into LDS Romance like Anita Stansfield and Rachel Ann Nunes. Right now I'm about to start Vol 4 of the Buhcannon Saga by Anita Stansfield. So good!! My goal before the baby is born is to scrapbook like our entire lives. I've got 4 months left so I better get going. Ü
This is a picture from last summer of some of my babysitting kids. There are 7 kids in this picture age 5 and under!! Usually I would have about 5 kids every day but occasionally through helping friends out and stuff that number would climb. I think the most I've had at once was 8 kids and that was only for a few hours.

Abby will be 6 years old next month. I can't believe it! She is a kindergartener at Circle Cross Ranch Elementary School and her teacher is Mrs. Bocchino. She says she doesn't like school but I think she really does. She just doesn't like anything involving actual work - kind of like her mom. Ü Her teacher says she is really smart and is learning to read very well (she has made it onto the principal's honor roll each quarter), but she talks and fools around a little too much which is affecting her grade as she doesn't get her assignments done in class. Any suggestions with this problem would be much appreciated!! Abby is also in Girl Scouts as a Daisy and really has fun doing that. She lost her two bottom teeth at the beginning of the year. Abby is excited about a field trip to the zoo that is coming up in the next couple of weeks and about going to Knotts Berry Farm in CA for her birthday.
