Family Vacation Day # 5

Friday, July 12th

Friday morning was our last in the condo.
While the adults packed up the kids had fun playing there one last time.

Playing in the woods Ü

Stick War!

Cousins!!!

Tanner got brave and kept trying to climb up the rocks!

As we left Breckenridge and drove into Denver we went through the Johnson Tunnel (which is also the Eisenhower Tunnel going the opposite way).  It is in this tunnel where the Continental Divide is!

Tyler took us on a tour of him old stomping grounds.  He grew up in Arvada, CO and we lived here with Abby for about 6 months when she was a baby.

Peck Elementary School

The home where Tyler grew up
8580 W 65thWay
We lived here with Tyler's parents from Dec. '02 to June '03

We took Abby here to play frequently.  This park is just down at the end of Tyler's street.  He played here as a kid too!

Arvada Jr. High
Or at least that's what it is was Tyler went here...he was surprised to see that now its a K-8 school!

Arvada High

Tyler lived here all these years and had no idea what this cute little house that bears our name was for!

The Quail building where Tyler and his family went to church...and they still went to this building when we lived with them!

Another stop in Arvada was to one of Tyler's friends house ~ Sabrina Spencer...now Sabrina Windser.  She is living in the house where she grew up while her parents are on their mission.  I wish I'd thought to take a picture of her and her family!  They had the most awesome backyard!!

The chickens were a hit!
I'm pretty sure the chickens were traumatized from all my kids chasing them!

Andy

The highlight of the backyard was the zip line.  I got several fun videos of the kids playing on it but whenever I tried to upload one onto here there kept being an error. :(
