Camp Ila

A few weekends ago (Aug. 14th-16th) Tyler and the kids went to Camp Ila - a camp for families with children with JRA (Juvenile Rheumotoid Arthritis - Abby's auto immune disease, dermatomyositis, falls into this category). Camp Ila was held at Camp Wamatochick in Prescott.I thought it was funny that they called it a family camp but it was only for ages 3 and up. There were no accomodations for infants. So Ben and I got to stay home. I also thought it was strange that for a family camp the guys and girls had to sleep in seperate cabins. That left Abby by herself with people she didn't know. In a way that was good for her because it forced her to make friends with the girls in her cabin. Tyler said she did fine.Their weekend consisted of climbing on rocks...
Singing fun camp songs...A campfire...Kayaking...
(Tyler's boat tipped over! Luckily he was the only one in it!!)Making Pineapple Upside Down Cake on the fire...Going on a nature hike and climbing on more rocks...
Participating in an obstacle course...
(Their team was Team Tagi)
and doing arts and crafts. The general consensus was that it was very fun!!!

Mommy had fun while they were gone. Ben and I went on 3 walks, I got our bedroom finally put back together since Tyler painted it a few months back, I watched a movie, went out to dinner with some friends, and I got to do lots of reading. Thanks Tyler for taking the kids to this. They had a blast!!
