10 Year Anniversary

10 years ago on August 9, 2001 Tyler and I were married in the Mesa, AZ temple. To celebrate the momentous occasion Tyler and I were able to get away to San Diego for 3 days. Hallelujah!! Thank you Kathy and my mom for helping out with the kids.

We drove over on August 8th. I don't even remember the name of the hotel we stayed in - Ha!! That's funny for me - I ussually remember things like that. Well, it was nice, on Hotel Circle, and thank you Travis for helping with arrangements.

After we got settled we drove to La Jolla. We were thinking about doing a session in the San Dieog temple but before heading over we realized it was Monday and the temple was closed. We ended up driving along the coast and stopped at an awesome park right along the ocean. The weather and scenery were both BEAUTIFUL!!

Check out the seals

We walked out onto this pier

The seals came right up onto the beach. Way fun to watch!!

Love this one posin'

That night we shared a dinner at Hunter's Steakhouse on Hotel Circle.

Day 2 ~ August 9th ~ our anniversary!!
We went down to Old Town San Diego. The first thing we did was tour the Mormon Battalion center. We really enjoyed that.

Then we got on the Old Town Trolley which took us all over San Diego making stops at the Harbor, the Gaslamp District, Coronado Island, Balboa Park, and Little Italy. The drivers would tell the history of the different parts of town as we drove around.

We got off at the Gaslamp District

We had to go into this place for a mid morning snack!!

Happiness!!

We shared this treat!! Yumminess!!

Here we are going over the bridge to Coronado Island

The San Diego Skyline

The Hotel Del Coronado

We ate a late lunch at the hotel's restaurant. We ate outside - right on the beach. Ü

That night was ate dinner at a ymmy malt shop!

Day 3 ~ August 10th

We were able to go do some initiatories in the beautiful San Diego temple.

Then we went back and walked some more around Old Town.

We toured the Whaley House ~ the most haunted house in America!! I don't get it but it was a cool old house. Ü

San Diego History ~ incase you want to read up on it. Did you know San Diego was first named San Miguel?

After a lunch at La Pinata (thanks Deena for the reccomendation!!) we drove home.

Such a nice and needed getaway!! Happy Annicersarty Babe!! Here's to an eternity more!!
