Balloon Art, Origami, and Other Creative Endeavors by Andy & Alex...and Ben Too Ü

For their 9th birthday Andy and Alex got a little balloon animal kit I found at WalMart for $5.

They learned how to make a few things pretty quickly and had fun with it for a few hours...

...but then the pump broke!  You get what you pay for a I guess.

Fast forward to April when Andy decided to pull the set out of the cupboard.  He was able to get the pump working again!!  This led to a couple more hours of fun and about 80 balloon shapes all over the house!

The boys also LOVE origami!  They made several things over general conference weekend...several!!  Here they are teaching Ben how to make a tulip.

The boys recently had a book report due.  They had to make a poster they could stick their heads through and be that person.  All around the poster they had to draw things that represented that person.  I was a little freaked out because I was sure they were going to whine and complain and say they didn't know what to do or how to draw...and I certainly am no artist.  But they did it!!  All by themselves!  And loved it!!

Love that they are so creative!! Ü

What fun! Are the bracelets the ones made out of rubber bands? I had a couple of the grandkids teach me how to do those on my trip to Denver. It was fun! ~ Grandma Allen
