Phoenix Temple Open House

On October 24th we took a drive up to the new Phoenix temple and went on the open house tour.

We rode a bus from the parking lot to the temple

The kids thought that was pretty cool

There it is!!
Our schedule tour was at 6:15 so it was already too dark to get great pictures.

It was beautiful!!  It is the House of the Lord/

These pictures were posted on www.ldsliving.com and give a better look at the temple in the daytime and of what it looks like inside...

They had a cool photo booth set up...

This will be the 2nd temple to be dedicated in Arizona this year!  The celebration and dedication are next weekend.  We are not as involved with the events of this temple...but it is all still so very exciting!!  This was Abby, Andy, and Alex's 4th temple open house (Oquirrah Mountain, Gila Valley, Gilbert, Phoenix), Ben's 3rd, and Tanner's 2nd.  This will be the older kids 2nd temple dedication they will get to witness.  Until a few years ago I had only been to the San Diego temple open house when I was a girl and a couple of dedications while I was at BYU (Nauvoo and Palmyra...now Gila Valley and Gilbert too!!).  My kids are so lucky to be living in a time when the work is being hastened and temples are being built all over the place.

We love to see the temple!!
