Happy 4th of July Ü
A new theater opened up in town back in the spring.
We told the kids if they earned enough money to pay for their own ticket we could go see a movie this summer. July 4th we went and saw the movie "Inside Out".
Can you guess which emotions the kids are pretending to be?
The kids favorite part of Independence Day is going to my Aunt Marsha's house to SWIM!!!!

Relaxin' with Dad
Not too many of us were there this year but anytime we can get together with cousins we LOVE it!!

Summer Marble Tower Fun
Abby and I have had fun working on making fleece blankets for our stake humanitarian project. The blankets were donated to an organization called Project Linus. We are now experts at cutting and tying and doing this helped both of us pass off some Personal Progress goals. Chloe loves soft things so it was kind of hard to work when she was around. Ü
Two movies in 1 month!!
The kids school used the new Minions movie as a fund raiser...selling tickets for $5 each.
We'll take it!!
After the movie it was off to Chipotle where the kids used their free kids coupons they earned from the summer reading program. I love when super fun nights cost practically nothing. Ü
NIELSEN FAMILY REUNION 2015
My Grandma Hall's family (the Nielsen's) started holding annual family reunions at their ranch in Richville, AZ (outside of St. Johns) back in the 1960's. They held them faithfully every year until 2007 when the ranch and surrounding roads got too run down too accommodate big crowds. My grandma grew up on this ranch and it is special to all of us.
8 of the 14 Nielsen siblings in 1972.
My Grandma, Christeen, was the 13th child. She is pictured here 5th from the left.
I only got to come to the ranch a handful of times growing up.

| off to make whistles |
I was able to come a little more once I got older and visited AZ in the summers.
Abby and the twins got to go a couple of times too!!
Here's I year old Abby (1st on left) on the swing with cousins. Ü
2006
Anyway, Ü, this year some of the relatives decided we should start the reunions up again. Not in any way like they were before...just an afternoon of visiting at the church for those in the area complete with talent show, skits, and stories which I guess was just like before. Ü Hopefully it can continue and grow in the years to come.
Meeting new cousins
It was my grandma's nephew, Milford's, birthday.
Our "campfire"
Some of the girls pictured in this basketball game have been in plays with Abby and Alex at the performing arts center. We had no idea they were related until they walked into the gym today!! Ü
Grandpa Fred and Grandma Mary who started it all.
In a family book written in 1993 it was determined that they had 536 descendants. I wonder how many there are now!!!

I introduced Abby to Bahama Bucks after her rheumatology check up. Bahama Bucks is a special "visiting AZ in the summer" memory for me. There's nothing like a Bahama Rama Mama!!
(shaved ice, with vanilla ice cream on the bottom, and special tropical cream on top ~ HEAVEN!!)
And the doctor said Abby's dermatomyositis is still under control. YAY!!
Girls Camp 2015
This year we had ward girls camp because of the trek the stake had put on the month before. The girls went up to Ponderosa camp ground just north of Payson for 3 days...and I got to go too!! Ü
So fun being there with Abby!!
Hopefully those pictures show a little bit of the fun we had. There is nothing quite like girls camp.
This picture of the Priesthood leader's skit, however, is what everyone is still talking about and will be remembered forever. Long live Awkward Man and his other super hero buds!! Ü
This little guy is now a PRESCHOOLER!!! What???
In the spring we had his speech evaluated. While he didn't quite qualify for the speech program offered through the Florence school district he was still offered a spot in the class for a fee. $100 a month for 4 mornings a week 8-10:30. I thought that was a steal!! An he sill gets some of the speech immersion and help that he would have gotten if he had qualified. He is LOVING it!!
His friend Rachel from our ward is in his class.
Following the dinosaur footprints into his classroom at Walker Butte Elementary School.
Ms Ehlert is his teacher...Miss E for short.
He had a 2 thumbs up first day of school!!
And he brings home the cutest projects and is learning so much!! He can now count to 11 and is doing great at letter recognition. We have Grandma Pam to thank for that too as she helped him last year during "Grandma school". Tanner talks about his friends Jacob and Gloria quite a bit. He is such a social guy. I'm so glad he has this opportunity!!
He is still quite independent. Here he is helping himself to a banana and Nutella!! Silly guy!!
Our ward had our annual Pioneer Day parade an activity. W love our Pioneer heritage and the sacrifices that were made so we can have the gospel in our lives.

Face painting by Miss Claudia!!
Tanner is not a fan of face painting...he just likes to make funny faces
In case you didn't know..Andy is a Pokémon card fan!!
Also, in case you didn't know, Sundays wear Tyler out!! Ü
This was a momentous day at our house.
The kids had cereal for all 3 meals!!
And finally...
We are now a foster family...for KITEENS!!
Our friend Vickie Lee, who encouraged us to adopt Chloe is involved in an animal rescue organization. The organization takes in abandoned animals or animals from the pound who, due to over population were going to be put to sleep, and places them with families until the animals can be adopted. Abby loved to go over to the Lees and pet and play with the different kitties they would have. When I heard that the organization would provide families with all the food and other necessities that the animals would need I thought we could give it a try.
On July 31st on his way out the door to a Priest campout I asked Tyler what he thought about the whole thing. He said that he would probably be ok with it...and when he got home the next day 2 kitties were living in his bathroom. Ü
And of course Chloe is still our favorite Ü
We love summer!! Ü
