Our little Tanner turned 18 months at the end of June. My friend Kathy was awesome enough to give him a haircut AND take his pictures. WooHoo!!
We wanted to get some before and after haircut pictures...because they always look so much older after a haircut. Ü

| Really Kathy...more pictures! I won't smile but I'll sign I love you. Ü |
We bribed him with chocolate!
Finally a smile!
Tanner's 18 month stats....
23.8 lbs (41st %)
34 3/4 " (97th %)
He is a sweet, happy boy who just wanders from toy and toy and place to place all day long. I'm constantly checking where he is because he's in one spot one minute and then gone the next. He can go from squeals of delight to squeals of a tantrum in seconds! He is finally liking to sit with me and look at books. His favorite things are his binky and blanky...which I try to just limit to bedtime. He loves to climb...up and down...up and down...on and off...over and over. Ü
His pediatrician would like him to come back in 3 months to see if he's made any progress in his speech. He can say "ba" for ball, "baba" for bubbles, and "da" for dog. He uses "mama" and "dada" interchangeably for Tyler and I and pretty much for everything else. He does say "num" when he wants more food. He can do several signs, point to different parts of his body, makes animals sounds, and understands pretty much everything we say so I'm not too worried.
I'm excited to have some one on one time with this little man when the big kids start school next week! Love ya buddy!

I guess I didn't realize that Tanner is only 3 months older than Kingston! As they get older the gap seems smaller and smaller! What a cute kid Tanner is! Haircuts do make them look older, too.
Not that you should be too concerned at this point, but what kinds of language development strategies have you been using?
