Summer Fun

Summer...wow!  This was the fasted summer on record I think.  It was the same 8 weeks but it flew by.  I've already blogged about some of our summer fun...here's the rest of it.

Tyler and the kids went bowling with our Pogo Pass
June 9th

The kids did lots of puzzles
These 2 actually worked together on something!!

This girl has never been into puzzles so I had to capture her working on this one Ü

They practiced the piano...and taught themselves how to play the Charlie Brown theme song.  Seriously...we looked it up online, they watched it a few times, practiced it lots, and with in a few days Abby, Andy, and Alex could play it pretty much perfectly.  Amazing!!
Andy

Lots of reading went on

We went to 3 movies in the theater...The Nut Job, Smurfs 2, and Mr. Peabody and Sherman.  2 of the movies were free...oh yeah. Ü

Tanner's first time at the theater
(since he was teeny anyway)

Both times I took the kids to the movie we went to In n Out afterwards.  Yum!!

Cole came with us once...

All the kids used their own money to buy milkshakes.

Andy wanted a Double Double so used his own money to buy his whole meal!!

I took this picture of the boys to show off their scraped faces.  They both scraped their faces in the pool...in different pools...on different days.  How random is that!!  Andy scraped up his nose; Alex his chin and upper lip.

Looking too grown up!!

Us moms had a couple of summer girls nights to celebrate birthdays and to just hang.  Freddy's is sure a yummy place!!

We spent a morning at the Sea Life Aquarium.  Thank you again Pogo Pass.  The kids loved seeing all the fish, sting rays, sharks, turtles, star fish, sea horses, octopus, and jelly fish.  Tanner was especially fun.  ~ June 13th ~

Father's Day!!
June 15th

Is he worth the $3.99 wimpy bacon or the $8.99 thick cut bacon???

Usually on Father's Day he makes his own meals...silly right?!?!  But the things he really likes I don't know how to make well so I guess it makes sense.  Although, I can make bagel sandwiches!!! He just likes to cook and tries to do it when he can. Ü

Looking at the Father's Day book I made him Ü
Awesome book! Love the pictures. It should be titled, "The Man with a Thousand Faces"! Ha, ha, ha!!! ~ Grandma Allen

Tanner loves Daddy too!!

Alex and Andy went to Cub Scout Day Camp and made these cool tool kits and shields
June 14th

Alex and Andy also both lost a tooth!!
Again another weird twin thing!  They both hadn't lost a tooth in forever and then both went from having no wiggly teeth to loosing one with in days of each other!!

The kids built a fort and had a Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs marathon.
They read all 3 books and watched both movies.

Ben had year three of swimming lessons with Miss Jennifer.
I think I can confidently say now that if he were to fall in a pool he would be ok...maybe. Ü

We fed the missionaries...6 of them!!
Tyler made his yummy delicious pizza. Ü

We exercised!!

We went and saw the reptile guy at the library

Tanner wasn't so sure...but he did touch him a little

June 25th

The boys passed off some Cub Scout requirements

Abby worked on Personal Progress goals
~ doing family name baptisms ~
Going to do baptisms once a week isn't going so well...
but I guess she's gone 4 times in 2 months...that's pretty good right?

We celebrated the 4th of July at Aunt Marsha's house.
The kids love this yearly tradition!!

Even Tanner was brave enough to jump off the diving board!!

The cake mix cookies are our fave

Andy discovered a site called Loom Love and brushed up on his bracelet making skills

He gave it to his friend Brad for his birthday

We tried out the new splash pad by us.  It has become one of our favorite places to go.
Mommy and Tanner have been going every Wednesday in between exercise and storytime. Ü
